Customers Advised to Strictly Follow COVID-19 SOPs

Sarawak Energy’s customer service counters at Bekenu and Permyjaya, Miri resumed operations after thorough cleaning and sanitisation of both premises. Bekenu and Permyjaya counters opened to customers on 9 April and 12 April respectively.

However, any customer who chooses to go to the centres for physical transactions must comply strictly with the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) without compromise. This includes temperature scanning prior to entry, wearing facemasks at all times, maintaining the minimum appropriate physical distance and sanitising their hands using the sanitisers provided or their personal sanitisers.

All of Sarawak Energy’s customer service counters are sanitised on a regular basis. If any positive cases have been detected at work premises, the affected areas are closed for deep sanitisation and fumigation and close contacts must go for testing and isolation.

“The health and safety of our customers, staff and their families are top priority. Sarawak Energy will continue to comply with all directives issued by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) as well as our own stringent in-house SOPs to help reduce the risk of transmission,” said Ng Shou Fui, Sarawak Energy’s General Manager of Retail.

“To limit face to face interactions to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, Sarawak Energy introduced our e-Bill services earlier this year. By encouraging online transaction, we hope more and more of our customers can perform their transactions from the comfort and safety of their homes or offices,” she continued.

Registration for e-Bill services can be done either by visiting Sarawak Energy operating customer service centres, self-registration via “SEB cares”, by calling the 24/7 Customer Care Centre hotline at 1-300-88-3111, or via the website at www.sarawakenergy.com.
