KUCHING, 15 MARCH, 2019, FRIDAY: Sarawak Energy confirms a tripping incident at Murum Power Station at 7.48 am which caused partial loss of supply in different parts of Sarawak this morning.

The trip was due to a broken conductor at Murum to Murum Junction line. Repair works were immediately carried out at the site to normalise the power station.

The affected areas included major cities and towns including Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri. Supply was restored to most affected areas by 8am.

Sarawak Energy once again apologises for inconvenience caused by the incident.
