Sarawak Energy Organizes Loyalty Service Awards in Appreciation of Long Service
Kuching 11 November 2014 - Sarawak Energy organized a special event for long serving employees at Imperial Hotel in Kuching yesterday. The event was attended by Chief Executive Officer Datuk Torstein Dale Sjotveit accompanied by senior management . Initially called the Long Service Awards, it is now called Loyalty Service Awards to further strengthen and recognize the sense of loyalty that many Sarawak Energy employees have shown throughout the history of the State-owned energy company.
The Loyalty Service Awards was designed not just a reward to employees that have been loyal to the company, it serves as a platform to showcase the accomplishments of everyone here tonight. It also gives the company an opportunity to appreciate the contributions of our recipients and recognize their efforts over the last few decades.
Sarawak Energy’s CEO Datuk Torstein Dale Sjotveit urged the recipients to keep their unwavering spirit strong.
‘With all the skills and expertise that you have acquired, you can now share and transfer what you have learned to the new and younger employees in Sarawak Energy’, said Datuk Torstein during his speech.
The categories for the recipients are divided into 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 years and above. This year, there are a total of 647 recipients that were due to receive their awards from 2013 and 2014. The Awards Ceremony is held every year and this year’s edition is the 19th year in which the company has recognized the selfless contributions from the loyal and dedicated Sarawak Energy employees.
In view of the large number of recipients of the awards every year, tonight’s loyalty awards will only cover the recipients from Head Office and Western Region. Due to logistical constraints, Sarawak Energy will be organizing similar functions in Sibu and Miri on 12th November and 14th November 2014 respectively for the loyalty service award recipients in those regions.
