Sarawak Energy Honours Dedicated Employees For 10,000 Years Of Service
KUCHING, 17 NOVEMBER 2017, FRIDAY: Sarawak Energy paid tribute to 382 long serving employees who reached milestone years of service with the company at the 2017 Sarawak Energy Loyalty Service Awards which took place here, Sibu and Miri respectively in the last week.
Altogether, the 382 awards recipients who reached 10, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service represented 10,000 years of service. Celebrating ruby service anniversaries of forty years in 2017 were Vivian Chang Geok Hiang, Chiew Chee Yee, Soh Su Ling and Wee Ting Eng.
“Our people are our greatest asset. We have almost 5,000 staff who serve our 650,000 customers, stakeholders and communities across Sarawak with hard work and dedication,” said Sharbini Suhaili, Sarawak Energy Group Chief Executive Officer when expressing his gratitude to the honourees for their service at the dinner in Kuching.
“Sarawak Energy supports the economic development of the state, and you play a role in this. You have built up our company and our reputation through your hard work and loyalty, and this will always be your legacy. I hope that you will share your knowledge and skills with our new and younger employees as we work towards benchmarking ourselves against the best in class operators,” he added, addressing the recipients.
Prior to that, Aisah Eden, Sarawak Energy Executive Vice President of Corporate Services, in her welcome remarks also acknowledged the 25 retirees and their spouses who were also in attendance that night.
“I would like to congratulate and thank each of the honourees for their contributions to Sarawak Energy through the years. To our retirees here tonight, we wish you a happy retirement,” she added.
