Sarawak Energy APP-preciation Day at Vivacity this weekend

Aims to raise registration of “SEB cares” Mobile App for customers’ convenience

KUCHING, THURSDAY, 27th APRIL 2017:  An APP-preciation Day will be held this weekend for users of Sarawak Energy’s highly convenient mobile app “SEB cares” and e-services.

Organised in collaboration with Astro radio and Vivacity Megamall, the event will be held on 29th and 30th April from 10:00am to 9:00pm.  There will be exciting games and fun prizes for all who use or are interested in using the app.

Sarawak Energy Vice President for Retail, Yusri Safri said the event aimed to promote and increase public awareness of SEB cares.

“Since its introduction last year, we have registered about 13,000 users for SEB cares. We hope that through App-preciation Day, we can increase users of this app.  By the end of this year, our target is to achieve 20,000 users to ensure more customers will benefit from this digital technology advancement,” he said.

“SEB cares” was launched in 2016 to enhance the utility’s customer service experience by providing an additional platform to stay connected with the company, anytime, anywhere, 24 hours a day. Through the app, customers are able to manage their bills, make e-payments, enquire on technical services and report on outages, faulty street lighting and receive real time alerts and updates. For e-payments, customers are able to make payments for their electricity bills via online banking, credit or debit card through this app.

“I hope members of the public will join us at Vivacity Megamall for two days of fun-filled activities, and of course to register with SEB cares.  We have attractive prizes for customers in the maze game and activities are open for customers registered to the app,” said Yusri.

Among the programmes are Karok Karan Era and fun activities for children at the Kids Fun Zone such as mini playground, sand art, face-painting, block games and many more. Astro fans are also invited to attend and meet their favourite DJs.

Customers can also take the opportunity to meet Sarawak Energy’s team at the booth for enquiries and assistance. SEB cares can be downloaded through Apple’s App Store for iOS and Google’s Play Store for Android. Apart from SEB Cares, Sarawak Energy has also recently introduced payment kiosks to further facilitate and enhance customers’ experience.

Other available platforms for customers to reach for the utility’s services are via its Customer Care Centre at 1300-88-3111, email at customercare@sarawakenergy.com.my and can also visit its customer service counters throughout the state.
