Sarawak Energy Group CEO Delivers Keynote at International Conference on Materials Technology and Energy
MIRI, 21ST APRIL 2017, FRIDAY: Sarawak Energy Group Chief Executive Officer Sharbini Suhaili delivered a keynote address on ‘Reliable, Renewable, Sustainable and Affordable Energy for Sarawak and Beyond’ at the International Conference on Materials Technology and Energy (ICMTE) 2017 jointly organised by The Institute of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM); Institute of Materials, Malaysia (IMM); Miri City Council; and Curtin University Malaysia, in Miri on 20 April.
Sharbini talked about Sarawak Energy’s initiatives to ensure reliable, renewable, sustainable and affordable power for the state and beyond, and also took the opportunity to highlight the company’s efforts totalling about one billion Ringgit to strengthen Miri’s reliability of power supply. To support platforms to discuss recent technical advancements, innovation and best practices in relation to materials technology and energy, Sarawak Energy is a sponsor for the two-day conference which saw participation from industry and academia. YB Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment and Minister of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development, Trade and Investment officiated at the opening ceremony of the conference.
