More Sarawak Energy Payment Kiosks Statewide

Kuching, 28th July, Friday: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) has introduced more payment kiosks at major customer service counters throughout the state.

Introduced in March this year with four kiosks located in Kuching and Sibu, there are now 15 kiosks available at most major customer service counters statewide. The move to increase the number of kiosks is an ongoing effort by Sarawak Energy to enhance customer experience and provide an additional payment channel for customer convenience.

The kiosks accept single or multiple electricity bill payments (up to 5 bills) per transaction and collateral deposits by cash, cheque and debit or credit cards issued by banks in Malaysia.

It is also real-time integrated with Sarawak Energy’s existing customer management system, enabling customers to retrieve bill information instantly at the kiosk by scanning the barcodes or entering contract account numbers.

With the additional payment kiosks installed and in service, Sarawak Energy has seen a significant reduction in customers’ overall queuing time at most of major counters by 21.8%, and successfully shifted 32.4% of their walk-in customers to pay their electricity bills directly at the payment kiosks.

The kiosk currently only accepts Syarikat SESCO Berhad's bills, but efforts are underway to include other billers as well through the kiosk to make it even more convenient for customers to make payments of multiple bills.
