Repair Works On Kemena-Selangau 275kV Transmission Line Postponed Due To Bad Weather
KUCHING, 30 JANUARY 2016, SATURDAY: Repair works on the damaged parts of the Kemena-Selangau 275kV transmission line along the Tatau River scheduled to take place Saturday, January 30 has been postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions in Tatau, Bintulu.
Sarawak Energy will proceed with repair works on Sunday, January 31 if weather conditions are favourable and it is deemed safe to do so. If the bad weather persists, the repair works will be rescheduled to the following day.
Great care has gone into the planning of the repair work to ensure completion within the shortest possible time and to avoid interruption of supply during its execution. Nevertheless, although we have taken every possible precaution, there is still some risk associated with repair work of this nature and Sarawak Energy has prepared a full mitigation plan in case there is an outage.
Sarawak Energy will be posting updates via its official twitter handle @1SarawakEnergy.
