Sarawak Energy Works To Normalise Power Supply In Lawas
KUCHING, 10th July 2015, FRIDAY: Sarawak Energy is working urgently to normalise power supply in Lawas after a generator set failure occurred at the Lawas power station causing outages.
The utility company had to conduct load shedding from 9am on Thursday which resulted in intermittent power outages in most parts of Lawas.
Sarawak Energy's technical team has been working tirelessly to normalise power supply as soon as possible.
Lu Yew Hung, Managing Director of Syarikat SESCO assured Sarawak Energy customers in Lawas that the team is working round the clock to resolve the situation.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused especially to our valued customers who are observing the fasting month of Ramadhan. This is our top priority. This is the reason that load shedding is done to cushion the impact of interruption to the people in Lawas.
Lawas supply is not connected to the grid and is still dependent on generator sets. Sarawak Energy seeks the patience and understanding of the people in Lawas. Power supply is expected to normalise by tomorrow( 11th July 2015),” he said.
