Good Response At Sarawak Energy Corporate Golf Tournament

KUCHING, 22nd DECEMBER 2015, TUESDAY: Sarawak Energy’s corporate golf invitational tournament held recently saw good participation from 76 golfers comprising representatives from government departments and agencies, major customers and business associates competing on the greens at the Kelab Golf Sarawak (KGS).

The annual event served as an avenue for Sarawak Energy to strengthen working relationship and rapport over a friendly game of golf.

Officiating at the tournament, Sarawak Energy Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Torstein Dale Sjotveit said, “The event’s main objective among others is to nurture closer rapport with our partners and customers outside the meeting room and office environment.”

He said good working relationship among its business partners was essential in ensuring the smooth implementation of Sarawak Energy’s projects to achieve its vision of providing a sustainable growth and prosperity for Sarawak by meeting the region’s need for reliable, renewable energy.

After a full day on the golf course, Kameri Haji Affandi, Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Social Development emerged as winner in the VIP category, SI Abdul Alik Suhari from PDRM won the Group A (Handicap 18 & below) and Kenny Thian, Director of Wacis Engineering Consultant won the Group B (Handicap 19 & above).  The overall winner was Magit Semong, a Senior Manager from Sarawak Energy.
