Miri, 1 February 2013, 9.02PM:- The 33kV Lambir-Niah line tripped causing disruption in power supply to about 400 customers from the Lambir area to Sg Entulang. The incident occurred at about 3pm this afternoon. One of the electricity poles at the affected area was found broken as a result of road works carried out by JKR's contractor. Sarawak Energy's team of technicians are currently in the process of restoring supply via the coastal road line.

Repair works on the broken pole is expected to complete in six hours from the issuance of this media statement.

Sarawak Energy deeply regrets the inconvenience caused to its customers as a result of the external factor.
