Sarawak Energy Celebrates Long Service Awards Recipient (Miri)
Miri, 27 November 2012 - Sarawak Energy Berhad's "Loyalty Service Award" is one of the most awaited events of the year. It is a special occasion for Sarawak Energy to recognize staff that has been serving the Company over many years.
The awards are given to the employees after ten years of service and every five years after that until the employee reaches the retirement age. Held at a hotel in Miri, recipients in tonight’s occasion comprise of: 3 recipients for 10 years award, 15 recipients for 15 years award, 12 recipients for 20 years award, 5 recipients for 25 years award, 13 recipients for 30 years award and 1 recipient for the 35 years award.
According to the General Manager of Corporate Shared Services Mr Polycarp Wong, "The Loyalty Service Award this year shall witness a total of 342 recipients from all over Sarawak. The Award is given as a token of appreciation and a symbolic gesture by the Company to employees who have served the Company over the years with much dedication and passion."
Delivering the key message on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Puan Aisah Eden who is the Senior Vice President of Retail said, "Sarawak Energy is chartering new territories and embarking on an exciting journey. Sarawak Energy has evolved constructively and has overcome challenges that were unimaginable years ago."
Puan Aisah went on to say, "I want to make a special acknowledgement to the generations of Sarawak Energy / SESCO staff who have come before us. The leadership team at Sarawak Energy today stands on the shoulders of many decades of hard work and prudent management. It is very important to me to show due respect to the strength of the organization that we have inherited."
The organization has grown from strength to strength, and with the rollout of its new corporate identity and launch of its new head office in The Isthmus, Kuching, they are the symbol of the transformation that is underway at Sarawak Energy.
Puan Aisah concluded that, "Our past generations and all of us here tonight will recognize that what we do today is not a break from the past, but as the next stage of a much longer journey. It is just “The End of the Beginning”, we still have a long way to go before we reach our full potential of becoming an Agile, Effective and Modern Corporation."
