Lorry Hit Service Line Leading to Power Disruption in Tudan

Miri, 13 November 2012, 5.22pm - Supply in Tudan was fully restored at 12.15pm today.

It took slightly longer time than expected as our crew of engineers and technicians had a challenging task to uproot the remains of the pole that was dragged down by the lorry, because of the hard ground. In addition, "Our team had to take extra precaution when planting the new pole because of the presence of an existing 33kV cable that sits beneath the affected pole. If damaged, it could potentially cause a major outage at Lutong and Senadin areas." said Yusri Safri, who is the Regional Manager for Northern Region with Sarawak Energy Berhad.

Upon restoration, Yusri added, "To our customers who were affected by this incident, we thank you for your patience and understanding."
