Whistleblowing Policy

  1. SARAWAK ENERGY IS COMMITTED TO AND REASSURE THAT:
    All reports made in good faith with evidence provided, and not for any personal gain, shall be investigated. For any whistleblower, you shall be protected against reprisals, adverse employment consequence, or retaliation and provided with immunity from disciplinary action (whichever is appropriate).

    WHISTLEBLOWER MUST:
    • REPORT in good faith with supporting facts and documents for any wrongdoing reported;
    • ENSURE that the report is not vexatious, defaming, malicious or made for any personal gain; and
    • NOT MAKE false or misleading report knowingly, negligently, frivolously, or recklessly.
  2. SARAWAK ENERGY ASSURES CONFIDENTIALITY & ANONYMITY

    All reports are treated with utmost confidentiality to the extent permitted by law.

  3. IF YOU DECIDE TO BE ANONYMOUS, SARAWAK ENERGY:
    • Will accept your reporting if made in good faith and with sufficient information on allegation(s);
    • May have limitation in assessing/investigating the report if whistleblower cannot be contacted for further information.

What can you report?

You may make a whistleblowing report if you are aware of any wrongdoings, including but not limited to:

  • Fraud
  • Corruption & Bribery
  • Moonlighting
  • Tampering of Documents / meter
  • Falsification of Records/Documents
  • Gross Negligence
  • Misappropriation of Fund
  • Theft
  • Theft of Assets
  • Power Theft
  • Conflict of Interest
  • Metal Theft
  • Abuse of Power
  • Disclosure of company’s information without proper authorization
  • Breach of SEB’s PPGs
  • Profiteering as a result of insider knowledge
  • Misrepresentation or false statements to the staff or officer of SEB
  • Forgery
  • Attempt conceal information relating to improper conduct
