OBJECTIVES :
The purpose of this course is to address the design issues of 33/11 kV distribution substations, particularly the open terminal type by bringing to focus the important factors in the selection of busbar configurations, layout of primary equipment, impact of transformers, circuit breaking & enclosure technology, lightning shielding, insulation coordination principles, protection and earthing.
