BALEH HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT

Sustainability

As one of the early adopters of the guidelines in International Hydropower Association’s Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol (HSAP), Sarawak Energy is committed to embedding good sustainability practices into its hydropower development. The HSAP is a globally recognised framework for assessing hydropower projects against social, environmental, technical and economic considerations.

Transparency and Stakeholder Engagement

Baleh HEP ensures that all stakeholders are involved and informed every step of the way. The Baleh project team organises regular local briefings and engagement sessions to keep our government agencies and local communities updated on the project progress and to gather their feedback and concerns.
