2021 marks Sarawak Energy’s 100 years of powering Sarawak
From our humble beginnings as an Electrical Section during the Brooke Administration in 1921, Sarawak Energy has grown into a vertically integrated power utility and the largest renewable energy developer in Malaysia. Our vision is to achieve sustainable growth and prosperity for Sarawak and beyond by meeting the region’s need for reliable, renewable and affordable energy.
Through renewable hydropower and our multidisciplinary workforce of majority Sarawakian talents, we are leading the way in creating a sustainable energy future for all.
Over the past 100 years, we have undergone corporate transformation for continuous growth and value protection to maintain our license to operate.
As Malaysia’s largest renewable energy provider, Sarawak Energy has come a long way in our journey, and we continue to create space for growth towards realising our aspiration to be a renewable energy powerhouse in Southeast Asia.
